Position:               Center Manager

Component:         Head Start Program

Qualification:            Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and at least three (3) year’s experience in a teaching capacity.  Minimum of three (3) or more years of supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of early childhood education and development, and the techniques in dealing effectively with economically deprived children and their parents.  Ability to serve as an educational lead for the center, oversee implementation of all aspects of education services and providing teachers with supervision, training, coaching and monitoring.  Must be able to work with staff to ensure a high performance, child and family-centered environment which support achieving Head Start educational objectives and family service expectations. Must possess knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, State Regulatory Standards, Head Start mandates such as School Readiness Goals and requirements, Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), Healthy & Safety standards, CACFP regulations, Classroom Observation & Monitoring skills, Parent Engagement and Pre – K standards. Have the ability to manage the payroll process and experience with ADP and other software.  Preferred knowledge of Head Start monitoring system.

Annual Salary:   $38,396 - $53,851 (Annual Salary Range)

QUALIFICATION/    REQUIREMENTS:


 

CDA or related field, and at least three (3) years ‘experience in a teaching capacity.  One (1) or more years of administrative and personnel experience with file maintenance and payroll processing.  Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Maintain caseload of Head Start files and monitor services provided. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with significant diagnostic and problem solving skills.  Sustained concentration and ability to handle multiple tasks, with the ability to handle stressful and sensitive situations in a professional manner.  Must be able to work independently and to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.    Occasional driving to various work sites, trainings, workshops. Must be able to meet approved minimal physical and medical standards and be able to perform duties as assigned.  Must have own transportation with a valid Georgia driver’s license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.  Must be able to attend meetings local, out of town and out of area of which some will necessitate travel.

Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. Gainesville, Georgia is seeking an Executive Director for a multi-county Community Action Agency in Northeast Georgia.

This position oversees the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the Agency, meeting the changing needs of constituents while complying with federal, local, and state funding requirements. This position recommends policies to the Board of Directors to achieve the Agency’s goals and objectives, implements board policies, develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization and represents the Agency in the community, state, and national arenas.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, in the area of finance, planning, organizational development or related field.

 

  • Five or more years of management experience.

Salary:

  • $100,000 + Commensurate with education and experience
