For more than four decades, Rev. Dr. Charles W. Grant served as the leader of Clayton County Community Services Authority, Inc. In his years of service, he did everything possible to assist our friends and neighbors in Clayton County who found themselves in dire straits. Rev. Grant seemed to be on a personal mission to help all people learn how to help themselves. Under Grant’s leadership, Clayton County CSA began offering a range of critical services that benefit eligible community residents, including elderly and disabled citizens.

Programs continue on in areas like community support (including case management, emergency assistance with rent/mortgage, utilities, food pantry, etc.), low-income home energy assistance, weatherization, early childhood education through Head Start, transportation assistance, and much more. The goal is to provide people across Clayton County with the opportunities, skills and resources necessary to thrive.

Rev. Grant couldn’t have done his work without rallying the troops. Over the years, his success as a leader hinged on willing participation from other leaders in the community as well as charitable support from many generous donors. Now, we are reaching out to expand our circle by inviting the caring, committed leaders of our community to join the Charles W. Grant Circle of Friends.  When an individual, family, or organization joins the Charles W. Grant Circle of Friends by making a tax-deductible donation, they are providing support that will allow the Clayton County Community Services Authority, Inc. to continue programs that benefit the people of our county.  His contributions to the metro community include a long list of impressive accomplishments. But he has said many times that his proudest accomplishment is growing the Clayton County CSA. We are seeking Circle members who understand and embrace Dr. Grant’s vision for a better Clayton County and a better world.  I hope you will consider joining the Charles W. Grant Circle of Friends by making a donation and ensuring that this important work can continue for generations to come. Members can join at several donation levels. I am happy to meet to discuss options for corporate sponsors as well as endowments in support of the Circle.

I thank you in advance for joining with us to help Rev. Grant’s giving, change making spirit live on in Clayton County.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rhonda G. Kindred
