Community Engagement Manager

Nature and Scope: This is a professional, administrative, supervisory and support services
position that addresses Community Engagement and Community Services. Work is performed
under the direct supervision of the Community Support Director or their designee and the
general supervision of the Executive Director or their designee. Duties involve the development,
implementation and coordination of comprehensive Community Partnerships plans, which
include a broad range of Community Engagement, and Community Services for the Agency. The
Community Engagement Manager will assist with sourcing new community partnerships,
building partnerships with community leaders, and work with the community to keep abreast on
current events. Secondly, the work involves the ongoing monitoring of community services to
ensure the implementation of policies and procedures are maintained.
Responsibilities:

1. Plan, develop and implement various support, awareness, and educational
activities for agency public relations purposes. Also, conduct fundraising
activities as needed and required.
2. Draft continuation funding proposals for various projects as needed.
3. Develop plans and activities that will effectively implement various projects and

programs within the purview of the Special Projects component.

4. Mobilize financial and material resources, either cash or in-kind services, from
clubs, organizations, and church groups on behalf of the agency.
5. Establish and maintain and working relationship and rapport with other Human
Service Agencies, local clubs, civic organizations, church groups, municipal
groups and apartment managers while in the process of developing from these
sources, direct services for the client or their families.
6. Develop, submit, maintain, and keep current all confidential files including
records, reports, and all documentation.
7. Assist in compiling and reviewing necessary data for the effective monitoring
and evaluation of staff and program activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Phycology, Sociology or related field, with three (3) to
five (5) years of related work experience and/or training.
Must have experience in customer service, quality service and the ability to address
issues and concerns and conflict resolution.
Must be able to travel locally and out of state for meetings as needed or required.
Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
Ability to be pleasant with others on the job and display a cool natured cooperative
attitude at all times.
Must have strong leadership ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sustained concentration and ability to handle multiple tasks and often simultaneously.
Ability to handle stressful and sensitive situations in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Ability to exercise tact and discretion in all Employee interactions. Ability to respond
appropriately to an emergency or crisis situation.
Occasional driving to various work sites, trainings, workshops and community outings.
Salary Range: $32,406 -$45,468 (Annual Salary Range)
