Community Support Program Manager

Reports To Community Support Director

Position Type Full-Time

Status Non-Exempt

Salary Range $33,238-46,384 (Annual Range)

General Summary of Position

The Program Manager (LIHEAP) provides high-level support by planning and, organizing and/or coordinating the activities of social service programs or community outreach under the direction. of the Community Support Director. Work may involve directing and supervising the staff in determining certification of eligibility, assessment of client needs, formulation of service plans, follow-up with clients, client counseling, and mobilization of resources in a timely and consistent manner. This includes delegating tasks to other employees and conducting regular meetings with team members to monitor the status of the project. The Coordinator also implements various projects for the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, develop and implement various support, awareness, and educational activities for agency public relations purposes. Also, conduct fundraising activities as needed and required.

2. Draft continuation funding proposals for various projects as needed.

3. Develop plans and activities that will effectively implement various projects and

programs within the purview of the Special Projects component.

4. Mobilize financial and material resources, either cash or in-kind services, from clubs,

organizations, and church groups on behalf of the agency.

5. Establish and maintain and working relationship and rapport with other Human Service

Agencies, local clubs, civic organizations, church groups, municipal groups and apartment managers while in the process of developing from these sources, direct

services for the client or their families.

6. Develop, submit, maintain, and keep current all confidential files including records,

reports, and all documentation.

7.

Assist in compiling and reviewing necessary data for the effective monitoring and evaluation of staff and program activities.

8. Monitors job performance, conducts Employee's annual performance appraisals for all staff supervised, conducts Employee discipline, addresses complaints and works to resolve problems.

9. Orientation of new Employees to the department and go over job expectations of the

position.

10. Maintains attendance records, approves time sheets, leave and travel requests for

assigned staff members.

11. Assists in the interviews process and makes recommendations for new staff

12. Representing the agency speaking to groups, organizations, churches, and conduct

forums, workshops, and seminars as needed or required.

13. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports and submit them as needed or

required.

14. Attend all workshops, seminars, meetings, or forums locally and out-of-town as needed or

required.

15. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

These are the minimum qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.

1. Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, with three (3) to five (5) years of related

work experience and/or training.

2. Must have experience in customer service, quality service and the ability to address issues

and concerns and conflict resolution.

3. Must be able to travel locally and out of state for meetings as needed or required.

4. Must have good working knowledge of computers and computer programs, i.e. Windows

packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

5. Ability to be honest, ethical, reliable, dependable, and in fulfilling all job duties.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of any and all matters associated with the organization

and with any partnerships associated with the organization.

7. Ability to effectively present information to management, staff, general public,

community groups, and/or The Board of Directors.

8. Ability to follow oral or written instructions.

9. Ability to be pleasant with others on the job and display a cool natured cooperative

attitude at all times.

10. Must have valid Georgia Driver's License and current automobile insurance.

occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
