Head Start/Early Head Start
High School Diploma with two (2) to three (3) years of food preparation and food handling experience, two year college degree or higher preferred. Thorough knowledge of kitchen basics, food handling and cooking procedures, including workplace safety procedures. Must meet health standards necessary to receive food handler’s permit/Servsafe Certification. Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions. Must have experience preparing food in large quantities from a planned menu. Must have the ability to see details, watch gauges, dials and other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly. Must have the ability to work with and relate well with children and parents. Knowledge of cleaning, chemicals, detergents and maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen. Must be able to attend all meetings, local, out of town and out of area.
Full time employees are currently eligible for Agency benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision). Full-time staff will be eligible for 403B enrollment after probation and all Agency Holidays.
$12.61 - $17.32 (Hourly pay range)
Monday through Friday
